Customers who purchase the Rs 79 recharge coupon will now receive double the benefits, according to the company. The telecom provider stated that the scheme is worth Rs 270 crore and will cover a Rs 49 mobile service credit for 5.5 million low-income subscribers.

Both telcos have made announcements targeted at low-income subscribers. Airtel claims that 55 million of its nearly 350 million customers would prosper as a result of this. Jio, on the other hand, has not specified how many people would benefit.


According to Airtel’s announcement, 55 million users, mainly in rural India, will get a free recharge pack worth 49 rupees. The 49 recharge kit includes 38 minutes of talktime and a 28-day validity period. We’ll update the exact details of the rollout as soon as Airtel provides more information.


Subscribers who recharge with the 79 pack would now get double benefits. Subscribers can also get 400MB of data and 256 minutes of talktime. The validity period would most likely stay at 28 days.
