HMD Global’s new cheap 5G phones are expected to be the Nokia X20 and X10. These phones have been seen in a number of locations, indicating that HMD is planning a global rollout. Despite this, there is a scarcity of information about the Nokia X20 and X10’s specifications. At the very least, we now know one important fact about the Nokia X20, the more expensive version of HMD’s upcoming X-series of Nokia phones. HMD Global has redesigned the Nokia mobile lineup for 2021, introducing six new C, G, and X series phones. Just before the launch, Digital Trends was given the chance to look at one of the first Nokia X20 models, the latest top-of-the-line handset.

The X series, like the other new phones, was designed to reflect HMD Global’s new goal of creating gadgets that people can trust, enjoy, and hold. When looked at simply, the company’s target seems to be fairly ordinary, but the company is going about doing that in an interesting way: it’s leveraging good pricing and durability by apps and service, rather than just a spec sheet full of large numbers, to achieve its goal. Since the code would be modified at the very least before it is published, it is not ideal for a complete evaluation or in-depth analysis. Instead, here is a thorough review of the X20.

A new Nokia edition, titled X20, has been listed on the Geekbench benchmarking website. The Nokia X20 page on the website now includes two relevant requirements. One is that the Nokia X20 will have 6GB of RAM, and the other is that the handset will be powered by an SM4350 processor. This codename for the processor refers to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 480, which is by far the most affordable 5G smartphone platform.

What distinguishes one from others?

Let’s talk about value for a moment. Since the specifications and architecture of the latest Nokia phones aren’t breaking any new ground, it’s a better place to start. The X20 is the current top-of-the-line handset, and even with its top specs of 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, it’s just 320 British pounds, or $440. It costs 299 pounds (approximately $410) to have the edition with 6GB of RAM. To put it in perspective, the Google Pixel 4a 5G launched in the United Kingdom for 499 pounds, and in the United States for $499. Rupees 30000 to 35000 inr is nokia x20 price in india

The Nokia X20 has 5G and Android One apps, which looks and functions almost identically to Android on the Pixel, as well as three years of promised OS and security patches, so it’ll finally get Android 14. In addition, if you purchase the phone in Europe, HMD Global can extend the regular two-year warranty by one year, for a total of three years.

Despite the new branding, the Nokia X20 stays true to Nokia’s proven theme. It also has a circular camera module in the top-center, a smooth back plate, curvy edges, and a chin bezel under the frame. It’s very similar to the Nokia 8.3, right down to the fingerprint sensor in the power button on the edge. According to Geekbench, the Nokia X20 scored 507 in single-core testing and 1661 in multi-core tests. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 found inside the Nokia X20, on the other hand, is not unexpected. When Qualcomm first revealed this chipset, HMD Global was one of the first phone companies to declare a collaboration with Qualcomm and that it will soon be available on a Nokia phone.

A Nokia Quicksilver smartphone with Android 11 and the same chipset was spotted a few days ago. However, the Nokia X20’s latest results suggest that the two phones could be identical.

The two phones’ test results are also similar. According to the Geekbench page, the base frequency of the Nokia Quicksilver and Nokia X20 is 1.8GHz, so it’s safe to say the two phones are identical. The Snapdragon 480, Qualcomm’s most inexpensive 5G chipset, is manufactured using an 8-nanometer process and supports both mmWave and sub-6GHz 5G bands.

This is advantageous in terms of 5G phone coverage. Although mmWave is thin, the sub-6GHz band allows for a wider 5G coverage area. In the other hand, the latter is known for having the best 5G speeds. The processor can handle 1080p displays with a 120Hz refresh rate, but I don’t think the Nokia X20 will need one.

Also supported are fast Charge 4+, DDR4x RAM, and 5.1 storage.but the Nokia X20 is likely to only support the former. About the fact that HMD’s plans for the Snapdragon 480-powered Nokia phone seem to be moving along quickly, there are major concerns about the company’s phone strategy.

For more than two years, we’ve been hearing rumours of a Nokia 9 PureView replacement. The successor’s name has been teetering between Nokia 9.1 PureView and Nokia 9.2 PureView. However, since the bulk of HMD’s Nokia phone families have progressed to the third (and even fourth) generations, the Nokia 9.3 PureView has emerged as the final brand.

This much-anticipated phone is nowhere to be found. HMD also revealed last year that it will release a Snapdragon 690-powered smartphone. The Snapdragon 690 is another Qualcomm 5G chipset designed for mid-range devices. This Nokia phone with a Snapdragon 690 processor has yet to be released.
